Carlo was born in Johannesburg and after schooling he studied Fashion Design, Fine Art and one year of Jewellery Design in Italy. It was however at the Technikon Witwatersrand that he met Ziemek Pater on the fashion design course. However Carlo intially designed under his own label called JANE'S BLONDE and only later launched StrangeLove with Ziemek. The rest is History and StrangeLove on.
